“Sud de France” wines, covering the largest wine region in the world, have challenged four world class chefs to create ‘The Perfect Meal 2007.’ All four chefs have specifically designed a four course meal to compliment & enhance the natural flavours of their personal selection of wines from “Sud de France.” The competing chefs are all from high profile restaurants based in London, three of which have received Michelin recognition. The award winning chefs are Alain Losbar from the Novotel London West, Pascal Aussignac from Club Gascon, Bjorn van der Horst from La Noisette and Eric Chavot from The Capital.

Each chef will be judged by a panel of journalists, food & wine experts & notable sommeliers who will decide which individual courses form the best interpretation of ‘The Perfect Meal 2007’ around a certain wine theme. Judges are looking for the most complimentary pairing of food with the chosen wines although the taste, presentation & originality of each dish will also be judged.

The four most highly regarded courses will be combined to form the winning meal which will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in May at the London Wine & Spirits Fair 2007. Many of the UK hospitality industry’s royalty are expected to attend the ceremony when each chef with a dish chosen to feature in ‘The Perfect Meal 2007’ will be honoured among their peers.
